Spring 2022 Testing Mode
The Testing Mode Application will be open in ADEConnect September 20 - October 15, 2021.
All Achievement testing is, by default, administered to students by computer.
No action needs to be taken if your school site(s) will remain computer-based for Spring 2022.
The District Test Coordinator (DTC) for any school site requesting paper administration in Spring 2022 for AASA, AzSCI, ACT Aspire, and/or ACT testing must complete the application in ADEConnect. The DTC will need to enter a reason for the testing mode change for each test for the site(s) that request a paper administration. The Assessment section will review each request individually and update the status in the application.
To request paper administration, log into ADEConnect. Select Assessment. Click the dropdown for Achievement Reports and select Achievement Test Mode to begin.
Please Note:
For AzSCI to be administered as a paper test, every student response must be key entered into the TestNav online testing platform once the students have completed testing by a Test Administrator who has been trained and who has submitted a test security agreement. All student responses must be entered in TestNav before the end of the AzSCI test window.
Accommodations for the AASA assessment will be similar to the accommodations for the former AzM2 assessment.
*Special Paper Version (SPV) tests are available for students unable to use a computer based on their daily instruction and IEP or 504 plan. SPV tests include Braille, Large Print, and paper tests.
Requests for SPV tests may be submitted between August 30, 2021 to February 25, 2022 using the form at https://www.azed.gov/assessment/spv2022.
