FY21 ESS Discipline Data Collection

April 5, 2021 - 10am to 12pm

Annual Data Collection

We will be uploading training modules through the month of June & July on the various reporting requirements. When a specific training module has been posted, an alert will be sent via the ESS Data Management listserv. If you are not a member, sign up for the Data Management listserv.

These training modules are intended to provide assistance to school and district personnel who are involved with special education data collection and reporting. Since there have only been minimal changes made to the Annual SPED Data application, there will be four different types of training modules posted on the Training Videos webpage:

  1. School Reports, an overview of the Exit and Discipline reports;
  2. Agency Reports, an overview of the Preschool Transition and Parentally Placed Student reports;
  3. Discipline Data Collection, an overview of the data submission requirements for purposes of the Discipline report (note that this webinar was held on February 25 and a recording of this webinar is currently available under its own section); and
  4. Final Submission, an overview on the steps required to close out this data collection requirement.

The target audience of these training modules will be the novice user. However, these modules are also available to advanced users who wish to review a “refresher” on this data collection.

Please direct questions to ESS Data Management.
