The Arizona Department of Education and the K-12 Standards Section have received applications from over 90 Arizona educators and community members. Thanks to all that applied in May 2020. The ADE Educational Technology Standards Workgroup had a single meeting at the end of May for a virtual meet and greet. Future meetings will begin in either late August or September 2020. The timeline for completing the rewrite/revision of the Educational Technology Standards is March 2021. If you have any feedback or wishes for the Ed. Tech Workgroup, please contact us through email: K-12 Academic Standards.
The Arizona Department of Education has begun the process of revising the Educational Technology, which were last adopted in 2009. ADE is bringing together working groups of educators and technology leaders from across the state to build the draft standards, which will ultimately be adopted by the State Board of Education. After each working group meeting, the ADE team will post an overview of the events of the meeting for public review.
The Arizona Department of Education’s Virtual Learning Hub is a resource for teachers and families to assist them as they plan for non-traditional instruction and should be used with discretion and in the way that best fits with their school/district curricula. This is a living document that will be updated frequently.
