Course Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will:
- Understand military culture and subcultures
- Understand the components of the Military Interstate Children's Compact
- Recognize and understand the unique experiences military families and children bring to Arizona's schools
- Understand how to welcome and support military-connected students
- Collect valuable resources to help ease the transition of highly mobile, military-connected children in Arizona schools
As a result, when schools implement Purple Star practices, they build intentional systems that support highly mobile students through transitions, ensuring every student—regardless of circumstance—feels welcomed, supported, and positioned for success.
