American Indian Student Needs (AISN)

A competitive grant for public school districts used for school supplies for federally recognized American Indian students

Programming to support AIAN students and families. Services are developed through an education plan approved by a local Indian Education committee and may include culture, language, academics, and dropout prevention

Federal Office of Indian Education

The federal Office of Indian education administers Formula Grants to Local Educational Agencies, "Discretionary Grants" like Special Programs and Projects for Indian Children, and other national activities. Click below for more information on each initiative.

Federal funding provided directly to school districts to make up for lost tax revenues from federally owned property within their boundaries (i.e., military bases and Indian Reservations).
