22 Federally Recognized Tribes in Arizona
There are 22 federally recognized Tribes in Arizona. Most of the tribes have a Tribal Education Department (TED), a Tribal Education Director, or another designated representative. A few tribes solely contain schools that are operated by the Bureau of Indian Education. We have compiled tribal information and community profiles below.

Enrollment Information
Enrolling with your Tribe is an important process to receive broader access to the programs and benefits offered to enrolled Tribal Members. Each Tribe has its own processes for tribal enrollment to determine whether an individual is eligible for membership. Each tribe maintains its own enrollment records and records about past members. The U.S. Department of the Interior has general information on the Tribal Enrollment process, however, to obtain information about your eligibility for membership, you must contact the tribal enrollment department.
