School Safety Program Grantees

Awarded Sites

As of school year 2022/2023, the SSP funds over 450 positions in schools across Arizona:

  • School Counselors: (219)
  • School Social Workers: (106)
  • School Resource Officers/Juvenile Probation Officers: (140)

Training Information

Registration for School Safety Program trainings is via the Law for Kids website. 

SSP FY23 University Course Catalog: The Catalog provides an overview of the trainings, including Courses at a Glance, and details who is required to attend what training. 

SSP FY23 Training Schedule: The Schedule provides the steps to register for a training, dates/times for each training, who is required to attend, and details about pre-work. 

Micro Trainings

The below micro trainings are designed to provide an orientation to the School Safety Program. They explain key requirements of the program, including the responsibilities of the School Safety Assessment & Prevention Team and the use of your Awarded Positions for safety and prevention efforts. Each tutorial lasts approximately 5 to 15 minutes. 

NOTE: Watching the videos is a pre-requisite for attending L100, NOT, and new CSW training.

Office Hours

The ADE SSP Team hosts Office Hours to provide technical support, guidance, answer any SSP questions including, but not limited to Grants Management Enterprise (GME), applications, training, CSW specific questions, and to stay in touch with grantees. 

Coffee Chats

CSW Coffee Chats is to create a space for building a community of practice, collaborating, and resource sharing for the School Safety Program School Counselors and School Social Workers. 

Elective Trainings

The School Safety Program is going to be offering optional trainings each month for Counselors and Social Workers.
