Date: Tuesday, September 2 to Thursday, September 4, 2025 

Location: Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ

Purpose: To convene educators, students, parents, administrators, and tribal leadership to foster collaboration and innovation in Indian Education, teaching and learning, youth advocacy, cultural wellness, and policy development. 

Welcome to the Office of Indian Education's 2025 Annual Summit! Join us this September for an inspiring and transformative event where educators, leaders, administrators, parents, and students come together. Dive into 20 dynamic breakout sessions, engage with expert presenters, and connect with peers who are passionate about Indian Education in Arizona. Let's collaborate, learn, and grow together!

Thank you for your interest in the OIE 2025 Annual Summit! Registration is required to attend. 

There are four types of registration available: Student, Parent/Caregiver, Education Staff, or Administrator/Leadership.

For this conference, OIE is defining these registration types as:

STUDENTYouth entering 9th grade through 12th grade, or individuals attending post-secondary institutions, including teacher candidates.$250
PARENT/CAREGIVERAdults or guardians who have children that attend PreK-12 schools in Arizona and are NOT attending the Summit as a representative of a school district, charter network, or tribal nation. $250
EDUCATION STAFFAdults who serve PreK-12 students and do not serve in an administrative/leadership capacity. This includes but is not limited to classified/certified staff, tribal liaisons, school counselors, Native American program staff, or any individual involved in the day-to-day teaching and support of students. $400
ADMINISTRATOR/LEADERSHIPAdults who serve in a leadership capacity within PreK-12 educational environments OR Tribal, State, Federal, and Non-profit entities. This includes individuals such as Superintendents, principals, district administrators, tribal education department directors, and other organizational management. $400

Registration for this event must be completed in "ADE Professional Learning & Development," (APLD) an Application within ADEConnect. All individuals must have an ADEConnect account to complete registration, including those registering as part of a group (see bulk registration details below). Only full conference registration is available, there are no single day registrations available.

Additional Details:

  • Bulk Registration (Group): All individuals in your group must have created their own ADEConnect account, complete with a current email address. Once all group members have an account, follow the bulk registration instructions to add users to your group registration.  Note: Users who have an old ADEConnect account are responsible for updating their profile in APLD, including updating their email address, dietary requirements, or interpreter needs.

  • Payment Information: Acceptable methods of payment include purchase orders, check, or credit card. If paying with a PO or check, an electronic copy is required during the registration process. Visa or MasterCard are accepted. Attention: Purchase orders sent directly to the AZ Department of Education does not complete registration. 
  • Purchase Order or Check Details: When submitting a purchase order, all participant names must be listed on PO as they appear on their account name in ADE Connect. *Immediately after registering with a PO, you will receive an email stating that your registration is "PENDING" verification of the purchase order or check. ADE will complete the verification process within 10 days. Once the verification process is complete, you will receive another email stating your registration is CONFIRMED. The confirmation email secures your spot for the event.

Recommended arrival day is Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Hotel check-in begins at 4pm, and event registration will be available 4:00 to 5:30pm to receive your agendas, badges, and swag bags.

Event concludes at 3:30pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Cut off date: August 18, 2025. Any unreserved rooms in the event block will be released. Reservations will still be honored at the block rate pending availability. To avoid a one night's room and tax charge, any reservations must be canceled at least seven (7) days prior to scheduled arrival. Early departure fee of one night room and tax will be applied should a guest depart sooner than the check-out date confirmed on arrival. 

Travel: The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is located within the Gila River Indian Community. It is about 11 miles south of the Phoenix Airport and 25 miles southwest of Phoenix, AZ. Complimentary self and conference center parking is available. 

 

 

This year, participation as a vendor or exhibitor is by invitation only. We are excited to curate a select group of participants to enhance the quality and experience of the event. Thank you for your understanding.
