Before registering for an exam, it is recommended that applicants review the requirements for approved subject areas, the certificate, or endorsement they are seeking.  There are several ways to meet exam requirements for both the professional knowledge or subject knowledge exams.

Equivalent out-of-state exams may be accepted if reported to and determined to have met the "Pass" status by the other state.  It is recommended for first-time educators seeking initial certification in Arizona to sit for Arizona exams if the exam requirements are not waived as detailed in the appropriate requirement document.
