Welcome to The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant

The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) initiative is the only federal funding source dedicated exclusively to supporting out-of-school-time programs. In Arizona, 21st CCLC grants help establish and sustain high-quality programs that provide academic enrichment, youth development opportunities, family engagement, and student support services for students attending high-poverty, low-performing schools.

The Arizona Department of Education is currently seeking qualified peer reviewers to assist with the review of Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Cycle 22 Cohort 2 grant applications. Peer reviewers play a critical role in ensuring a fair, objective, and competitive review process by evaluating applications and providing scores and feedback based on established grant criteria. This is an excellent opportunity for educators, program leaders, and community partners to contribute their expertise in support of expanding high-quality out-of-school-time opportunities for Arizona students and families.

Interested reviewers should have experience in education, youth development, family engagement, grant management, program evaluation, community partnerships, or related fields. Training and review materials will be provided prior to the application review process.
