Statewide Assessments Friday Focus Webinars 2024-2025

The Arizona Department of Education's Assessment section has scheduled a series of Friday Focus Webinars during the 2024-2025 school year to keep you informed about the "State of Assessments" in Arizona. Each webinar will be offered live on Friday afternoons, 1:00-2:00 pm. Registration in ADE's Professional Learning & Development (APLD) system is required to attend the live webinar events. ACT Aspire

ACT Aspire

ACT Aspire is the statewide high school achievement test for Arizona students in the Grade 9 cohort. ACT Aspire will be administered to students in Cohort 2028 in the 2024-2025 school year.

While ACT Aspire has been discontinued at a national level, Arizona will continue to administer the ACT Aspire Early High School assessments to students in the Grade 9 cohort for the life of our contract. As of November 1, 2023, support for ACT Aspire has now shifted from ACT to Pearson.

AZELLA - Placement Test FAQs

The AZELLA Placement Test window begins on the the district's or charter's first instructional day of the school year. However, ADE has approved a 2-calendar week jump start prior to the first day of school to begin Placement testing.

AZELLA Spring Reassessment Test FAQs

The electronic results of the Spring 2025 AZELLA Reassessment Test will be available in Pearson Access Next on May 1, 2025. These test results will also be included on the students' EL70 Reports or the records will be in the AZELLA Corrections application. The results will also be included on the EL72 Report.
