Educator and School Excellence

The Arizona Department of Education Educator & School Excellence Unit is excited to share that the U.S. Department of Education has granted us a waiver for the 20-20-Portion Rule and the 15% Technological Infrastructure Rule for the FY21 Title IV-A requirements within the consolidated application. In other words, LEAs have been granted increased flexibility to prioritize Title IV-A funding across the three categories of well-rounded education, safe & healthy students, and the effective use of technology, while also allowing for intentional investments in technological infrastructure. This flexibility will allow increased opportunity to
address local needs while minimizing accounting burdens during these challenging times.

Please note that the required Comprehensive Needs Assessment and LIAP remain in effect.

Should you have any questions regarding this, please reach out to the Title IV-A Inbox.
