ACT is the statewide high school achievement test for Arizona students in the Grade 11 cohort. ACT will be administered to students in Cohort 2026 in Spring 2025.
The Arizona English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA) is a standards-based assessment that meets state and federal requirements to measure students' English language proficiency. AZELLA is used for both placement and reassessment purposes. The AZELLA is administered to eligible Kindergarten through Grade 12 students.
The AZELLA District Test Coordinator (DTC) is responsible for all the AZELLA Assessment administrations - the year-round AZELLA Placement Test and the annual Spring Reassessment Test.
Students must meet the eligibility requirements as determined by the student’s IEP team in order to participate in the State’s Alternate Assessments. The Eligibility Form should be completed and filed within the student's current IEP.
MSAA was designed for students with significant cognitive disabilities. MSAA ELA & Mathematics are tested in grades 3-8 and 11. MSAA Science is testing in grades 5, 8, and 11
The Achievement Testing District Test Coordinator (DTC) is responsible for ELA and Math assessments for students in grades 3-8 and Science assessments for students in grades 5, 8, and the 11th grade cohort. The Achievement DTC is also responsible for the administration of ACT Aspire for students in the 9th-grade cohort and ACT for students in the 11th-grade cohort.
