Enjoy hands-on learning designed for teachers of all grade levels and subject areas who are interested in igniting their computer science learning. Learn about how computer science can be integrated into algebra, science, CTE, AP coursework, project-based learning, and more. Explore the different learning pathways at AZCSpdweek. Select a pathway from multiple tracks customized to your interest for K-12 teachers and school counselors that will be offered at the Computer Science Professional Development Week for a 1, 4, or 5 day workshop options. The Computer Science Teachers Association-Arizona (CSTA-AZ) and the Arizona Department of Education are working together to help teachers bring computer science to their schools and communities. Together, we can expand access and opportunity to high-quality CS learning experiences for AZ students while increasing STEM enterprise and employment. Our future is bright!

3 Amazing Conferences – Registration information.

The 2017 Teachers’ Institute and Leading Change conferences will be held in Tucson, Arizona on June 12-16, 2017. We are very excited about this year’s presenters and know that it will bring learning to new levels.

June 13, 2017 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM Designing Comprehensive Evaluation Systems – Beyond Ratings: Using Educator Evaluation for Professional Growth and Support

Summits I – VIII have focused on components of the educator evaluation process including the use of multiple measures to guide implementation for improving teacher effectiveness and learning. Summit VIII is an encore to the educator evaluation series designed to assist Arizona LEAs in determining outcomes that are a part of a roadmap to improving teaching and learning.

June 14-16, 2017 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM Now in its 11th year, Leading Change, June 14-16, is the premier conference for Arizona administrators. Each year administrators leave with important updates, new information, relevant leadership techniques, and inspiring stories. We are very excited about this year’s presenters and know that it will bring administrator learning to new levels.

June 12-13, 2017 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM Teachers’ Institute kicks of the week with a special two day event, June 12 and 13, designed for teachers and instructional coaches. During these two days, teachers will hear from national and local presenters and learn new techniques to enliven and enrich their classrooms. By the end of the conference, teachers will leave with a full complement of resources and strategies for their classrooms.
