COVID-19 and PD INFO: Special Education Director Check-In Schedule Change and Survey Need

Special Education Directors,

As we approach the end of the “school year,” ADE/ESS is changing the summer schedule (May 18 through August 7) for the Special Education Director Check-Ins to every two weeks. The next Check-In is scheduled for Thursday, May 28 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the topic will be “IDEA Fiscal Update.” There will be no Special Education Director Check-in this week (May 21).

Additionally, the Thursday Afternoon LEarning Series (TALES) will be moving to every two weeks for the summer. However, there IS a TALES session this Thursday, May 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the topic is: “I Want SMORE of That! A Free Tool for SLPs, Teachers, and Other Related Service Providers during COVID-19 and Beyond.”

ADE/ESS will continue to use the Microsoft Teams or Zoom platforms for Special Education Director Check-Ins and TALES events, and topics will be driven by current needs and input from the field.
