The below memo outlines the fiscal requirements for assurances and special education policies and procedures. ADE/ESS has issued a revised policies and procedures checklist to assist in ensuring all requirements are included in the public education agency’s (PEA’s) individual policies and procedures. Due to this revision, ADE is extending the deadline for submission of each PEA’s board-approved policies and procedures to their assigned Program Support and Monitoring Program Specialist from September 1 to November 1, 2018.
Note: to be in compliance with federal requirements, these policies and procedures do have to be in place at the start of the PEA’s school year.
