The Lunch Box is just one of Chef Ann Foundation’s major programs. Along with providing free recipes, tools, and resources for school food change, the Foundation also has one of the most comprehensive grant programs that helps school districts serve fresh and nutritious food to kids: Get Schools Cooking.
Get Schools Cooking (GSC) is an intensive 3-year program that provides schools with the operational foundation needed to transition to a scratch cook program. GSC kicks off with a workshop in Boulder, CO, followed by an on-site operational assessment; strategic planning; a $35,000 systems grant to cover items such as equipment, staff training, and data solutions; and continued technical support to implement the strategic plan. The grant is valued at up to $267,000 and we are accepting applications now through October 28, 2019.
