Dear Arts Educators, Teaching Artists, Administrators, and ALL Arts Education Stakeholders:
It has been my pleasure to spend the 2017-18 school year with you as your ADE Arts Education representative! Together we have listened, grown, celebrated, and explored the work we collectively endeavor to elevate and expand. Your commitment to your students and communities is inspiring, I am so excited to build upon this year’s discoveries. As I transition into my new role as ADE’s Director of Arts Education & Title IV-A, I look forward to building an interdisciplinary team that can support your work. Our increased capacity will allow us more opportunity to partner, share, and learn alongside you, and the increased resources provided through Title IV-A allows for new and emerging collaborations! I have so enjoyed attending your school performances, showcasing your students’ creations, and sharing resources for your classrooms, leadership, and school communities. Take time to rest and re-charge this summer break. Reflect on your teaching artistry and what you might choose to tackle in the upcoming year. As you begin planning, remember that the Office of Arts Education and the Title IV-A Team are here to assist you.
