Integrity Rule -20019 is now marked as Disabled for FY20 and forward.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20019 (If a withdrawal code of WK is submitted and a subsequent enrollment with an EK enrollment code is submitted without a track change, then report the discrepancy as an error.)

Modification to AzEDS Integrity Rule(s):

Integrity Rule -10131 is tentatively marked as Disabled. AzEDS will follow up once it is active again.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10131 (If a PS enrollment without a SPED Program is not reported with Tuition Payer Code 2 OR a PS enrollment with a SPED Program is not reported with Tuition Payer Code 1, 4 or 7, then report the discrepancy as an error. Tuition Payer Code 2 must be used for any day a PS enrollment is reported without a SPED Program.)

Integrity Rule -40036 is Removed as of FY16.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –40036 (If a student is receiving SPED services turns 22 years of age during the school year, shall continue to receive SPED services through the end of that school year. (ARS 15-764(A)(1)).)

* Integrity Rule -40036 removed, Rule -10122 already in place to validate age. -10122 (If the Student turns 22 during the current enrollment and is not receiving SPED services on his 22nd birthday, report as an error.)

Additional AzEDS Integrity Rules for FY20

New AzEDS Integrity Rule(s) for FY20:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10131 (If a PS enrollment without a SPED Program is not reported with Tuition Payer Code 2 OR a PS enrollment with a SPED Program is not reported with Tuition Payer Code 1, 4 or 7, then report the discrepancy as an error. Tuition Payer Code 2 must be used for any day a PS enrollment is reported without a SPED Program.)
  • *Effective FY20, parentally placed preschool students on a ISP are no longer eligible for proportionate share and, therefore, cannot be reported to AzEDS.

    (Integrity Rule -10131 effective as of 7/1/19)

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20038 (If membership has a withdrawal code of WK and the student didn’t switch calendars, move from UE to KG, or move from KG to UE, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • (Integrity Rule -20038 effective as of 10/30/2019)

    The WK withdrawal code has been expanded to allow a lateral grade change from UE to KG or KG to UE along with a change in calendar code. Schools should use this code for mid-year changes between “Ungraded Elementary” (used for kindergarten-age SPED students) and kindergarten or calendar code changes. All other mid-year grade changes require a WP (promote) or WD (demote) code. See the Use Case 5.0 document for more information.

    — For Accountability Rules, Student School Association not passing Integrity rules will not generate ADM.

AzEDS Integrity Rules for FY20

New AzEDS Integrity Rule(s) for FY20:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10130 (If a grade-level or school for a membership does not align with the calendar type, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • (Integrity Rule -10205 effective as of 10/21/2019)

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10205 (If a student has attendance minutes exceeding 1440 minutes per day, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • (Integrity Rule -10205 effective as of 10/9/2019)

    — For Membership Rules, Student School Association not passing Integrity rules will not generate ADM.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90021 (If a school has more than one primary (5-day or 4-day) calendar without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90022 (If a school submits a 4-day PS/KG calendar before submitting a primary (5day or 4-day) calendar, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90023 (If a school submits more than three 4-day PS/KG calendars without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90024 (If a school submits more than three 3-day PS/KG calendars without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90025 (If a school submits a 3-day PS/KG calendar before submitting a primary (5-day or 4-day) calendar, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90026 (If a 3-day calendar for grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 is submitted without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90027 (If a 2-day calendar for grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 is submitted without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90028 (If a 1-day calendar for grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 is submitted without School Finance’s approval, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90029 (If an unplanned calendar event is submitted during the normal submission window, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –90030 (If a submitted calendar code does not begin with the submitting LEA id, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • (These Integrity Rules are effective as of 9/24/2019)

    — For Calendar Rules, Students assigned to Calendars not passing integrity rules, will not generate ADM, SPED, or ELL.

Disabled AzEDS Integrity Rule(s) for FY20 and forward:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –50010 Student must have Tribal Name to be eligible for a Johnson O’Malley Indian Education program.)

New Integrity Rules for FY19

AzEDS Development has released new Integrity Rule(s) for FY19:

Membership

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10125 (The DOR for a membership type C membership must be authorized to serve grades 9-12 and issue a high school diploma, or be an elementary district not within a high school district.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10126 (If a PCCP membership is submitted at a school which is not an ABOR university or a community college in a community college district, then report the discrepancy as an error.)

SPED

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –40071 (Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) exit code 10 (Withdrawn by Parent and no Longer enrolled) can only be used if the student is 3 to 5 years old, and enrolled in Preschool (PS), Kindergarten (KG), or Ungraded Elementary (UE).)

Support Program – 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC)

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –50029 (If student program association record for 21st CCLC program(s) submitted is not within 21st CCLC program year for the given fiscal year then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –50030 If student attendance submitted for 21st CCLC program(s) is not within student program association begin and end date then report the discrepancy as an error.)

Post-secondary Concurrent Coursework Program (PCCP)

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81001 (If student membership record has only membership type C and no other membership exist at same DOR then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81002 (If any membership for a PCCP student has no section association, then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81003 (For students in PCCP, Course transcript does not exist for the (LocalCourseCode).)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81004 (If student section association with local course code has no course schedule then report the discrepancy as an error. Minimum one day schedule needs to be present for local course code to pass this rule.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81005 (If planned instructional time for student across all student section association records with same DOR exceeds 1080 mins in one day then report the discrepancy as an error.)
  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –81006 (If student record having membership type C is not in grade 9 to 12 then report discrepancy as an error.)

Integrity Rule fix released August 14, 2018

On 8/14/18, AzEDS Development released a fix to the following Integrity Rule(s)

Accountability:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20023 (Date falls outside this school’s calendar).
    • For FY19, changed back to Error from Warning.

STC:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –60034 (Grade mark is missing).
    • This fix applies to FY19 and forward. Integrity failures related to this problem will be ignored for FY18.

Integrity rule changes released January 19th, 2018

On 6/19/2018, Development released changes to the following Integrity Rule(s):

Membership:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10026: (Student must be at least 6 years old by January 1st to generate funding for grades higher than kindergarten).
    • Changed to grade 1st-12th.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –10122: (Students that are 22 years old and not receiving SPED services are not eligible to state funding).
    • For FY18, changed from Error to Warning.

Accountability:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20002 (Submitted readmission activity does not match the previous withdrawal activity code).
    • R22 code added for FY18 and forward.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20011 (New readmission is prior to the withdrawal of the most recent membership during the fiscal year).
    • R22 code added for FY18 and forward.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –20012 (Student must be withdrawn from prior enrollment before being readmitted).
    • R22 code added for FY18 and forward.

Accountability Other:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –21001 (Every membership needs an exit date and reason. Please submit a Year End Status or Withdrawal code and exit date).
    • W22 code added for FY18 and forward.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –21004 (Every membership needs an exit date and reason. Please submit a Year End Status or Withdrawal code and exit date).
    • W22 code added for FY18 and forward.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –21006 (Student with a summer withdrawal has no year-end status from the prior year at the same school).
    • Bug fix for prior year dates.

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –21010 (If the year end statuses are not between the last instructional day and 6/30(End of FY) then report the discrepancy as an error).
    • New Accountability, other rule for FY18 and forward.

Support Programs:

  • AzEDS Integrity Rule –50013 (The need is not valid for the support program reported. Either the need is not valid or there was no need reported. Please see the Need/Support Program Matrix for valid Support Program/Need combinations).
    • Added validation for ‘Other Giftedness’ Need.

Integrity Rule Changes released February 20, 2018

On 2/20/18, Development released changes to the following Integrity Rule(s)

SPED rules:

AzEDS Integrity Rule -40055 stated: “Student’s SPED Exit Reason must match with the regular membership’s year end or withdrawal status.”

  • -Prior to the enhancement Students who had a grade change in the middle of the year and continuous SPED would fail. This is changed to now not fail. Also, for 40055, as per the new SPED Matrix new exit withdraw type will now handle the exit service code.
AzEDS Integrity Rule -40069 states: “A student SPED participation must be within a valid membership at a school. Please note the error may be caused by student not having valid membership due to missing DOR, Grade or Track.”
