Dual Enrollment Student and Family Information

What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment programs allow students to take college classes while enrolled in high school. These classes count for both high school and college credit. High school students who complete dual enrollment may need to take fewer classes in college due to earning transferable college credits.

How can I earn Dual Enrollment credit?

Dual Enrollment courses are offered on your high school campus and can vary from year to year. Please reach out to your high school academic counselor for the most up-to-date information.

Additional Early College Credit Options:

Early college credit can also be earned through exam equivalency through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International Exams (CIE), College Level Examinations (CLEP), and DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST). For more information on exam equivalency for college credit, please refer to the AZTransfer Exam Equivalency Guide.

Who do I contact?

Please contact your local high school's counseling team or your local community college to learn more about dual enrollment offerings, tuition assistance, and admissions requirements.
