Approved Pathway to CertificationSchool administrators are certified to serve at a primary or secondary school as either an assistant principal, principal, director of a school program or superintendent.

How to proceed:
1. Choose the best-matched program appropriate to you.
2. Enroll and complete all program requirements.
3. Take and pass the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment (AEPA) Principal Subtest I and II exam or the AEPA Superintendent Subtest I and II exam.
4. Receive an Institutional Recommendation from your institution.
5. Ensure you meet all certificate requirements and apply for certification here.
