The ADE/ESS Recruitment and Retention team is staffing a recruitment booth at the Council for Exceptional Children's (CEC) annual convention this week as part of our recruiting efforts on behalf of all Arizona PEAs. The Arizona State Legislature passed FY24 budget including both a financial framework and an incentive program for offering live, remote instruction from one LEA to another.

Data submitted through the Annual Financial Report (AFR) and School-Level AFR is used to meet various state and federal reporting requirements. School Finance has been made aware of values that appear to have been reported incorrectly by certain districts and charters. It is possible to submit corrections to the AFR and School-Level AFR by following the appropriate process.

PHOENIX – State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne reports that 322 of the approximately 750 Arizona districts and charter schools – about 43 percent – have affirmed that they are teaching about the Holocaust and other genocides as required by state law. He is advocating for the passage of legislation that would bolster that requirement.
