The Arts and Physical Education Virtual Summit will be taking place on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, and will include professional development specific to Arts and Physical Education including sessions on funding your program, innovative teaching practices, and standards-based instruction. Design the State Seal of Biliteracy, Civics or Personal Finance!

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking designers to create the Seal of Biliteracy, the Seal of Civics Literacy, and the Seal of Personal Finance. The selected designs will be affixed to the diplomas of all graduates who meet the minimum requirements for these seals for many years to come!
West Valley Arts Council is actively recruiting students (ages 15-18 years old) attending high school in Goodyear (and within the West Valley) who are interested in the arts as a career for our Gallery 37 arts education program. Started in 2001 and typically a summer youth public arts education program, we are expanding the Gallery 37 program by providing students an apprenticeship during the summer of 2022 (May-June).
Students will be working with a professional artist to design, develop, and install a permanent piece of public art for the City of Goodyear.
The Goodyear project will start end of May 2022
Deadline to apply is April 29th

Students receive FREE college credits in partnership with Estrella Mountain Community College
Students receive a cash stipend for their work
Students will have the unique opportunity to develop vital career skills
The Arizona Theatre Company presents Justice: A Musical. The show connects to civics, history, English, and Music curriculum. The show will be available to stream into classrooms from April 26-May 31. (Free for Title I Schools). Scan the QR Code on the Flyer for more information.

Call for Art: Youth Photography Competition Greater Arizona Chapter, National Society of Arts & Letters
The Greater Arizona Chapter of the National Society of Arts & Letters is calling for submissions to the 2021-22 photo competition, which is open to young Arizona students, between the ages 14-18. Applicants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their photography skills and their ability to talk about their artwork. The competition theme is Uniquely Arizona. Only one submission per youth, consisting of acompleted application, one digital image and a paragraph about the image. A cash award will be granted to the top ten top students. First place - $500; second place $250; third place $125; and $50 for honorable mentions. Images and descriptive paragraph will be showcased in the ArtReach Space at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts from September 23, 2022 through January 9, 2023. Submissions will be limited to the first 500 entries for this year’s competition.
