Diploma Documentation

Candidates who have completed their High School Equivalency through the GED^® testing pathway and require official transcripts to be sent to themselves, a post-secondary entity, employer, or other third party can request a transcript through Parchment.

Parchment Transcript and Diploma Reminders

• Each purchase of an electronic transcript or electronic diploma will be a one-time downloadable PDF.
• The email link to the downloadable electronic transcript or electronic diploma will only be available for a limited time, be prepared to download the pdf document immediately.
• Once the electronic transcript and/or electronic diploma are downloaded onto your personal device, this document will become your personal document. If this document is misplaced, lost or stolen, it is the responsibility of the record holder to purchase additional records through Parchment.
• All requests for printed transcripts and diplomas will be processed for each record printed at the time of purchase.

Important Notes

• Only HSE GED^® testing pathway transcripts and diplomas are available through Parchment.
• Newly credentialed HSE GED^® candidates will receive the first electronic transcript and diploma emailed directly to the email listed on their GED.com profile.
• Official transcripts and diplomas will be downloadable electronic files available for purchase.
• Printed transcripts and diplomas are available for purchase at an additional cost.
• Third-Party Verification for HSE GED^® credentials is available using the Third-Party verification process through Parchment.

Candidates who have completed the College Credit Pathway or the HSE Plus Career Readiness Pathway and require official transcripts can complete the Arizona High School Equivalency Official Transcript and Verbal Verification Request Form.

A HSE transcript contains one or more of the following depending on the completed pathway:

• Arizona Civics Test (College Credit Pathway and HSE Plus Career Readiness Pathway)
• College Credits (College Credit Pathway)
• HSE PLUS Career Readiness Portfolio (HSE Plus Career Readiness Pathway)

Once the request form is complete, mail with payment to:

Payment Information

• Transcripts are $15 per copy
• Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Business Check ONLY
• Payable to: AZ Department of Education
• No cash or personal checks will be accepted.
• Credit cards are not accepted.

Important Notes

• Requests received by mail are processed within 2 - 3 business days.
• Official transcript(s) will not be sent by fax. They will be sent either via USPS mail or email.
• Transcripts are only available for the years 2018 to Present.
• Only candidates who have completed the HSE College Credit Pathway or HSE Plus Career Readiness Pathway will have access to official transcripts through this process.
• Third parties can submit a request for transcripts ONLY with a release signed by the candidate.
• The most current version of the form must be used. Prior versions will not be accepted.

GED^® Testing Pathway Verification Process

Third-Party Verification is available through Parchment's Third-Party verification process.

College Credit Pathway or HSE Plus Career Readiness Pathway Verification Process

Step 1: Candidate must complete the Arizona High School Equivalency Official Transcript and Verbal Verification Request Form.

Alternative Option: Third party's release form may be used if it includes the following information and is mailed with the required payment.

• Current name and former aliases
• Full date of birth
• Full Social Security number
• Candidate signature (electronic signatures are acceptable)

Step 2: Submit the request/release form and payment by mail to:

Payment Information

• Payment must be sent by mail.
• Verification for the year 2018 to Present is $30 per request.
• Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Business Check ONLY
• Payable to: AZ Department of Education
• No cash or personal checks will be accepted
• Credit cards are not accepted.

Step 3: Call for verification after 5 - 7 business days of mailing the request/release form and payment.

• Call (602) 258-2410, then select option 2.
• Only the PASS/FAIL status and the date of completion will be verified.
• Scores and transcripts will not be provided.
• Diplomas will not be authenticated.
• Third-party requestors are responsible for following up on mailed-in requests.

Verification Process for Corrections Agency or Facility ONLY

If you are a Correctional Agency or Facility and require verification of a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma, please follow these steps instead:

Step 1: Complete a release form for the candidate containing the following information:

• Full legal name and any alias names the inmate may have used
• Full date of birth
• Full Social Security number
• Inmate's signature
• Any additional information that would be helpful to the verification process

Step 2: Submit the release form through either:
