Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals (DITEP)
DITEP (Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals) training is intended to provide school administrators and nurses with a systematic approach to recognizing and evaluating students who are abusing and impaired by drugs. Arizona Department of Health Services Extreme Weather and Public Health
The Heat Illness Prevention School Project is a new project created by Arizona Department of Health Services. The goal of the project is to educate students, school staff, athletic coaches and parents regarding heat illness in order to prevent heat illness incidences and lower the number of heat caused/related deaths among students. Phoenix Children’s Hospital Pediatric Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Program
Children who have sleep disorders may often exhibit symptoms (inattentiveness, over-activity, restlessness) similar to ADHD. Because of this symptomatic overlap, children living with sleep disorders are sometimes misdiagnosed with ADHD. Children exhibiting these symptoms or other behavioral problems should be carefully assessed by a pediatric sleep medicine specialist for sleep problems. The School Nurses Organization of Arizona aims to promote the advancement of Professional School Nursing through interactive leadership and the provision of educational opportunities. The Arizona Asthma Coalition (AAC)‘s mission is to advocate for better services and improved quality of life for Arizonans living with asthma through education, partnerships and coalition building. The vision of the Coalition is to eliminate deaths from asthma.
