Qualified Evaluator Training
The Arizona Department of Education has developed an exciting 2-day professional learning opportunity for Assistant Principals, Deans of Students, TOAs/TOSAs, Principals, and others charged with the responsibility of observing and evaluating teachers.
The 2-day, in-person Qualified Evaluator Training (QET): A Better Way to Evaluate is designed to provide tools, strategies, and resources to assist with supporting teacher practice in the supervision and evaluation process.
The QET is the complete package for aspiring, new, and veteran principals, assistant principals, coaches, mentors, and other instructional leaders seeking to elevate their coaching and leadership skills while meeting
the criteria for being a qualified evaluator. Completers of the Qualified Evaluator Training (QET) will meet the criteria stated in ARS §15-537(F) for qualified evaluators.
Join us for 2-day QET Trainings that take place throughout the year.
In-Person Training Dates:
WINTER SESSION 1: Tuesday, January 23 & Wednesday, January 24, 2024
WINTER SESSION 2: Tuesday, February 13 & Tuesday, February 20, 202
SPRING SESSION: Tuesday, April 30 & Tuesday, May 7, 2024
SUMMER SESSION 1: Tuesday, June 11 & Wednesday, June 12, 2024
Trainings will provide a lunch and snacks included in the $40 registration fee.
All trainings will take place at ADE from 8:30AM-3:30PM.
