Professional Development on IDEAL
IDEAL provides a single access point to educational resources and information for all Arizona Educators. Educators have access to professional development opportunities, standards-based curriculum resources, collaborative tools, and school improvement resources.
- Lessons and curriculum resources in ELA and Mathematics can be found in IDEAL’s Learning Resource Manager (LRM). Log into IDEAL (www.ideal.azed.gov) and select the link to the Learning Resource Manager located in the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
- IDEAL Professional Development offers both free and affordable options for professional learning. Throughout the year IDEAL offers Open Entry/Open Exit (Just in Time) self-paced modules at no charge. These courses provide hours toward recertification. Courses on the 2010 AZ ELA Standards include: 2010 AZ ELA Overview, Understanding the Appendices, Cognitive Demand and Rigor; Deconstructing the Standards, Investigating the Alignment Document.
- IDEAL courses pertaining to literacy and mathematics, available in 4, 6, and 8 week facilitated course formats. Course titles are offered on a rotating basis four times a year.
