On January 26, 2015, the State Board of Education authorized the release of draft standards for two content areas: Foreign and Native Languages and Physical Education. The public comment period for each draft is now open and will be closed on March 2, 2015.

May 2014—UPDATE: Foreign and Native Language Standards Revision
The Arizona Department of Education has begun the revision of the Foreign and Native Language Standards. District and charter K-12 educators, content/foreign language experts and higher education faculty from around the state of Arizona are encouraged to apply using the application below.
We welcome all qualified applicants to apply at any time and committee members will be selected during all stages of the revision process. The revision process will involve both face-to-face meetings and virtual meetings with selected committee members. The entire process is expected to take six to nine months including the final drafts, public comment period and SBE approval in 2015.
