Create assistive technology solutions in minutes for every day challenges in the classroom!
Use every day items to create and customize AT solutions. You can use simple and inexpensive items, such as corrugated plastic (the material most election signs are made from), Velcro, and tape to make tablet holders, smartphone mounts, cup holders, adaptive eating solutions and more! Dr. Therese Willkomm, known as the McGyver of AT, will have several hands-on activities to help you learn that you, too, can create simple tools in a flash. This is a one day event.

During the 2018-2019 school year, the ADE/ESS Assistive Technology (AT) Team will bring PEA staff new and innovative tools and strategies to access the curriculum! We are happy to announce that ADE/ESS will be hosting five nationally known assistive technology coaches who are leading the way in supporting students with a variety of abilities.
In addition, the ADE/ESS AT specialists will be providing regional trainings throughout the year, hosted by local PEAs and focusing on tools and strategies for core academic subjects. These trainings will be provided free of charge and are open to all educators and related service providers. Be on the lookout for additional information and registration details during the upcoming school year.
These flyers further describe the two training series available through the ADE/ESS AT Team.
Please reach out to the AT Team if you have any additional questions ([email protected]).
