Teaching Students with Autism Webinar

Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EDT

Functional Routines are predictable events that involve a chain of behaviors. These routines provide meaningful contexts for using, generalizing, and maintaining receptive and expressive language, social interaction skills, and preacademic concepts. In this edWebinar, STAR Autism Support’s Cami Algaier, MS CCC-SLP, BCBA, will discuss creative ways to teach functional routines to students with autism. Topics covered include acquiring 1:1 skills, small group, simulations, during the routine, visuals, and prompting/fading. There will be time to have your questions answered during this live, interactive event. This session will benefit special education teachers, speech therapists, and paraprofessionals.
