General Information

Arizona’s Fourteenth Annual Transition Conference, Promote Strengths and Inspire Success, is a collaborative, cross-stakeholder professional development event aimed at providing meaningful and pertinent information needed in the transition planning process for youth and young adults with disabilities. This annual conference provides a dynamic array of national speakers, state level experts, and includes participation of youth, young adults, and family members. Session content is structured around three topical strands: (1) strategies for enhancing youth success, (2) family involvement, and (3) interagency/community collaboration. 2014 Program Overview

Please note the change in the scheduling of the conference from fall to summer 2014. This change was necessary to keep registration costs down and ensure the hotel lodging rate did not exceed the amount reimbursable by the State of Arizona General Accounting Office.

Registration

Registration for professionals and youth, young adults, and family members is currently at capacity. However, individuals interested in registering for the conference can submit information to the 2014 conference waiting list, available at this web link: http://tinyurl.com/lfed8vs. Submitting your information on the wait list is recommended – throughout the summer and up until three weeks prior to the conference, organizers will review and open regular registration slots as they become available. Priority for registering individuals from the wait list is based primarily on diverse representation from different organizations (i.e., districts, charters, state and community entities, etc) , not necessarily the order in which information is received.  In previous years, approximately 75 participants were registered from the wait list. For questions, please contact Jeannette Zemeida at Jeannette.Zemeida@azed.gov.

NOTE: ADE reserves the right to cap total registration numbers from any single organization to allow broader participant registration.
