According to Federal law, every school district and charter school must designate an appropriate staff person as a liaison for students in homeless situations. This person may also be a coordinator for other federal programs.
- Local Liaison Toolkit – NCHE’s Homeless Liaison Toolkit is a comprehensive resource that will assist both new and veteran local liaisons in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Public Notice of Student Rights – This website provides downloads for posters and brochures regarding the rights of Homeless students in both English and Spanish.
- National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth – The National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) is the voice and social conscience for the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. NAEHCY accomplishes this through advocacy, partnerships, and education.
