Dairy Council of Arizona and Fuel Up to Play 60 – upcoming grant opportunities!

The Fuel Up to Play 60 Funds Application is due June 14th and funds are available for implementation of nutrition and physical activity goals. We also have funding available in November.  This is a site based application and schools may apply for up to $4,000 to implement their goals.  With this funds application, only a registered Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor may apply for those funds after working with their student team to determine nutrition and fitness goals, but they must work closely with the Food Service and PE departments to work on their goals and objectives.  Think of it as a coordinated, comprehensive wellness team that comes together along with the students to devise a plan of action, apply for funds and then bring their program (and wellness policy) to life.  https://www.fueluptoplay60.com/funding/general-information

Our Summer Food Service Program Grant is due May 19th and is available to any school on the NSLP and actively enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60.  The Summer food application is one usually submitted by the food service department as they are the ones administering the program.  Funds are available for $2,000 to be used for marketing and resources to draw children to the feeding site.  Fuel Up to Play 60 resources can definitely be used during the summer to help support summer feeding goals of feeding as many children as possible. https://www.arizonamilk.org/summer-food-service-program-grants
