The HealthierUS School Challenge has a new name and new criteria! 

USDA has announced the new look of the HealthierUS School Challenge.  As of August 31, 2014, all HUSSC applications must meet the criteria for “The HealthierUS School Challenge: Smarter Lunchrooms (HUSSC: SL 2014)”.  This criterion recognizes schools actively implementing Smarter Lunchroom techniques and USDA’s Nutrition Standards for All Foods Sold in Schools (Smart Snacks in School). Take a look at the new materials and see if THIS year is the one to set your sights for the Gold standard and put in an application.
