Professional Development for Teachers
90 Hour Gifted Provisional Endorsement Training
Who: K-8 Teachers
When: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
September 30, October 21, November 18, December 2, January 20 *
There are an additional 45 hours required through assignments completed independently and monitored.
*You may miss one Saturday, but you must participate in a make-up session. Attendance on Sept. 30 is required.
Where: Bustoz Elementary School, Tempe School District
This interactive professional development will explore requirements for meeting the social, emotional, and educational needs of gifted children. Inquiry-based teaching, 21st Century Skills, Growth Mindset, and interactive notebook techniques will be used throughout the training.
Completion of this training qualifies the participant to apply for the Arizona State PreK-12 Gifted Provisional Endorsement. This training qualifies for re-certification hours.

AAGT’s 2017 Parent Institute is a one-day event geared towards the needs of Arizona’s parents of gifted and talented children. Our goal is to advocate, educate, and communicate on behalf of gifted learners in the state of Arizona. Student programs for grades K-5 are offered for an additional cost the day of the event.
