2014 Barrett Summer Scholars Program for Students

The Barrett Summer Scholars (BSS) is a unique summer enrichment experience at Arizona State University for gifted, honors and academically-motivated 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students. The program aims to introduce students to the exciting opportunities they have through higher education and prepare them for enrollment and success at ASU and Barrett, the Honors College.   Click here for the 2014 BSS Program Flyer.

Barrett Summer Scholars provides students with a glimpse into the life of a college student and strives to give its participants a holistic experience that includes engaging in intellectually-stimulating coursework, living in a residence hall, and participating in a community of peers who share in their interests and abilities.

The 2014 program dates for students enrolled in 7th, 8th and 9th grade during the 2013-2014 school year are:

  • 9th grade program: June 1-13, 2014 at ASU Tempe
  • 8th grade program: June 22-27, 2014 at ASU Polytechnic
  • 7th grade programs: July 6-11, 2014 at ASU West (Session 1)
                                          July 13-18, 2014 at ASU West (Session 2)
