Superintendent Announces Extended Tucson Hours

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas announced that the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) will maintain its Certification office in Tucson so that it can continue to serve current and future educators in southern Arizona.

The Tucson Certification office, located at 400 W. Congress St., room 223 (second floor), will be open Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting January 6th, 2016.

The current schedule is:


  • Wednesday, February 3
  • Wednesday, February 10
  • Wednesday, February 17
  • Wednesday, February 24


  • Wednesday, March 2
  • Wednesday, March 9
  • Wednesday, March 16
  • Wednesday, March 23
  • Wednesday, March 30

Only same-day services (quick services) will be provided. All other services must be sent to the Phoenix Certification Office. We do not accept cash or credit cards. Please remember to bring your personal check, money order or cashier’s check made payable to ADE.
