2012 Speak Up Survey is open through Dec. 21, 2012

Speak Up, a national online research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow®, gives individuals the opportunity to share their viewpoints about key educational issues.

Project Tomorrow has already registered Arizona schools to participate, all you have to do is encourage your students, teachers, parents and administrators to go online and take the 20 minute survey at: http://www.speakup4schools.org/speakup2012/ using the password su4az. Competitive Grant Announcement: ARRA-EETT Support of College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) through Educational Technology

Released May 11, 2012

The purpose of this grant  Request for Proposal is to support the implementation of rigorous College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) by:

  • Revising the 2009 Educational Technology Standard Grade Level Implementation Guides (which were produced in the Fall of 2010) to include connections to 2010 ELA and Mathematics CCRS. 
  • Creating a Glossary for the 2009 Educational Technology Standard.
  • Revising the AZ Teach 21 online course to include the 2010 ELA and Mathematics CCRS.
  • Reviewing and aligning resources in IDEAL’s digital repository and doing a gap analysis.
  • Reviewing and selecting new OER resources based on gap analysis.

 For this grant project a maximum of $590,000 is available to award.  One grant proposal will be awarded.  Letter of letter of intent due by May 25, 2012.   Due date for application:  June 22, 1012.

All grant funds must be obligated by September 30, 2012 and expended by December 30, 2012.

E-Rate season is here!  The Form 471 application filing window for Funding Year 2012 will open at noon on Monday, January 9, 2012 and will close at 11:59 pm EDT on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. The filing window will be open for 72 days.  Be sure to review the FY2012 Eligible Services List for details on products and services that are eligible for E-rate discounts in FY2012, and continue to check the USAC website for additional details.  For on-demand training click here.
