EETT 2012 Grantees:
As you know, the Arizona Department of Education experienced a major reorganization in July; Brett Hinton left ADE at the end of November; and additional organizational changes have been recently made. Subsequently, this information is late in coming to you but there is time for you to make amendments and draw down your funds.
Lois Kruse and her Operations team helped us with the 2011 completion reports. Thank you, Lois! The procedure they used was that any prior year unexpended 2011 Enhancing Ed thru Technology funds were automatically “rolled-forward” into a new 2012 sub-grant with line item-by-line Item balances based on the 2011 Completion Reports. Funds are available now and must be expended by June 30, 2012. Deadline to make amendments is March 30, 2012.
Here is additional information that you need to put on your calendar and take action to complete:
• Review your 2012 sub-grant and revise the line item allocations and submit an amendment to reflect your needs.
• LEA’s with negative line item amounts MUST do an amendment promptly.
• A Cash Management Report must be submitted monthly regardless of whether or not a payment is needed. Failure to do so will result in a compliance violation and the ADE Grants Management System will automatically place a “Hold” on the LEA’s sub-grant. (FYI — These Cash Management requirements apply to all federal sub-grants on a reimbursement basis in the ADE System.)
• Reminder: Deadline to make amendments is March 30, 2012.
