Designing and Delivering: Building Programs for All

The Early Childhood Special Education Summit is in its third year of sharing professional development led by practitioners from around our state. We continue to highlight the systems and strategies that quality programs embrace to achieve positive outcomes for all their young children. Although the focus is on special education there will be useful information for all with strategies to keep us engaged!

Our first keynote is a fun and lively presentation by Jim Gill, award winning musician and child development specialist, who will share his message on the importance of play and language development through music.  Get your dancing shoes ready…this is a blend of active participation and useful information!

The Summit will also include keynote and breakout presentations from Professor Emeritus, Dr. Laurie Dinnebeil, whose information about special education can help us design effective and efficient delivery systems of specially designed instruction. Her book entitled, A Guide to Itinerant Early Childhood Special Education Services, will be available for purchase (and included in the raffle of door prizes).

The Summit includes sessions from several partnering organizations, service providers, teachers, therapists, and coaches whose transformative practices and leadership are keys to success in our early childhood community.

This year we will also have a vendor area so you can learn about ongoing important initiatives as well as purchase classroom items.

We hope you will join us!
