2017 Family Engagement Summit: December 8-9, 2017

The Arizona Department of Education announces our first Family Engagement Summit. The summit will take place at the Black Canyon Conference Center Friday, December 8 – Saturday, December 9, 2017. The two day summit will be open to all early childhood educators as well as families. The overall focus of the summit will be on high quality family engagement strategies. Our goal is to support programs and families in forming strong partnerships that will improve outcomes for Arizona’s children. Sessions are applicable to both practitioners and families, and will cover topics detailed below:

High Quality Family Engagement Strategies

  • Building trusting relationships with families
  • Recognizing families as the child’s first and most important teacher
  • Strength-based model
  • Effectively engaging families
  • Building partnerships
  • Father/Male involvement

Exhibitors:

Exhibitor space is limited to 10 exhibitors.  Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis and approved at the discretion of Arizona Department of Education.  When the exhibit space has been filled, exhibitor(s) will be put on a waiting list should there be any openings after the registration deadline passed. The deadline to submit your application is November 17th, 2017.
