Revision and Realignment of the Arizona Early Learning Standards

The purpose of this work is to revise the Early Learning Standards and align the Standards with the revised Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, as well as Arizona’s K-12 Standards and the Infant Toddler Developmental Guidelines.

Participants in the revision and realignment group work must commit to reviewing current research and best practice as provided by the leaders of the work group, participate in on-site meetings as well as possible intermittent committee work by phone and be able to read and edit for content and common vision.

In order to be considered to participate as member of the revision and realignment team please complete the Application for Consideration for Appointment and submit your application to the [email protected]. All applications must be submitted no later than Friday, September 22, 2017 by 5 pm.

Tentatively the initial revision and realignment meeting dates are scheduled for the following dates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm:

Phase 1:

  • October 13, 2017
  • October 27, 2017
  • November 15, 2017

Phase 2:

  • December 13, 2017
  • January 19, 2018
  • February 2, 2018

Should you be chosen to be a part of the revision realignment team an invitation will be sent to you with the dates, times, and locations.
