Recognition Program

Any Arizona public or charter school that demonstrates pervasive implementation of the six proven practices in civic learning will be designated as an “Arizona Civic Engagement School” and recognized with one of the three following designations:

Arizona Civic Engagement School of Merit
Arizona Civic Engagement School of Distinction
Arizona Civic Engagement School of Excellence

NOTE: The degree of implementation establishing a school’s designation is still  to be determined.

Each school designated as an Arizona Civic Engagement School will receive the following recognition:

Recognition to Include: Designation on the Arizona Department of Education website; Mention in the Progress Report, ADE’s monthly external newsletter; Inclusion on Arizona School Report Card; Public Relations Packet that includes the following: Letter to Parents and Community, Logo and artwork provided for school to include on district/school website and other uses determined by district and school, Facilitation with local media, Sample press release, Promotion to state groups and organizations; School recognition will take place on September 17, 2013 (Constitution Day)
