2012 Arizona Scholastic State Chess Championships Results
Our Greyhills Academy High School Chess Club represented our school and Chess program with pride and passion for this year’s Chess Finale. Our Chess Team Members learned and gained valuable insight and experience in playing against high-rated chess players and Chess Master’s. “Win or Lose”, their desire to compete and to be successful, has brought a sense of accomplishment and pride to their outstanding Chess season. In the end, it is definitely a season to build on as we begin to prepare for the upcoming 2012-2013 Chess season.
I would like to express my sincerest appreciation and great admiration for the support from Greyhills Academy High School 21st CCLC Coordinator, Regina Hale and the Arizona Department of Education – 21st CCLC staff and program. I also would like to convey my gratitude to Annette Hemstreet, Greyhills Academy High School P.E./Health Teacher, for purchasing our Chess polo shirts. Last, but not least, Chris Curley, Greyhills Academy High School Parent Educator, for all public relations (Navajo Times and Navajo-Hopi Observer) pertaining to our successful Chess season.
