Over the next few years, Arizona and more than 40 other states across the country will transition to a new set of learning standards, called Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards.
These Standards provide a clear picture of what students need to learn each year in order to graduate from high school ready to succeed in college and careers. This page is designed to support you as schools continue to transition to Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards.

Expect More Arizona – Academic Milestones (English and Spanish)

These documents provide a high level overview of the key academic skills children will learn in each grade, based on Arizona’s College and Career Ready State Standards. The resource also includes activities that parents can do at home with their children. Available in English and Spanish.

Parents’ Guide to Student Success (English and Spanish)

These guides were created to help parents understand the key concepts in each grade that their children will be learning as the College and Career Ready Standards are implemented. Available in English and Spanish for grades K-high school.

Council of Great City Schools – Parent Roadmaps to the College and Career Ready State Standards (English and Spanish)

These road maps offer guidance to parents about what their children will be learning and how they can support that learning, in grades K-8. The Parent Roadmaps provide the focus areas for each grade level in mathematics, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
