Saturday, January 12, 2019 | 1:00–3:00 p.m. Free for educators New activities for 2018–2019! Learn new, musical ways to bring culture into the classroom! Engage students in grades 3–12 through games, projects, and writing and discussion prompts that will empower them to investigate material culture from the museum’s collections.
Saturday, January 12, 2019 | 10:00 a.m.–noon Free for educators New activities for 2018–2019! Musical play enhances development in young children. Early childhood (from birth through age 8) educators will learn how to engage students in observation, discussion, and play based on MIM’s collection.
Saturday, February 16, 2019 | 10:00 a.m.–noon and 1:00–3:00 p.m. Free for educators Discover how MIM’s collections can support embedded STEM + music learning in your classroom! Engage students in grades K–12 through hands-on, STEM-centered games, projects, and investigations to help them gain an understanding of STEM principles. Activities support learning and inquiry across a variety of disciplines from art and design to engineering and computer programming.

- 1:00–3:00 p.m. Focus: Basic concepts of acoustic resonance, electronic amplification, and music technology for grades 3–12
