Fostering Global Competence in the Classroom: Borderlands Cultures

Arizona State Museum and the Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access are offering a FREE educator workshop on January 25 & 26th 2019. The workshop connects teachers with Mexican and Yaqui primary source materials, tradition bearers, stories, and songs. Participants gain access to Smithsonian and ASM digital resources and classroom tools, and create their own lesson plans.


The workshop is open to educators (grades 4-12), pre-service teachers, school librarians, and curriculum developers. Participants earn a $50 stipend and 11.5 professional development hours. Space is limited register now at:
