There are six skills that schools should be teaching to help prepare students for future employment, according to the National School Boards Association’s Commission to Close the Skills Gap. The skills are critical thinking, decision-making, customer focus, dependability and reliability, adaptability and trainability, and teamwork, according to the commission.
