Considering Offering 200 Days of Instruction for FY 2014?

A.R.S. § 15-902.04 allows for LEAs providing 200 days of instruction at their schools to increase their base level by 5%.  If your district or charter intends to offer a 200- day calendar in FY 2014, you must, at a minimum:

 1) Submit a letter to Lyle Friesen, Deputy Associate Superintendent, School Finance, ADE, requesting approval of the 200-day calendar prior to June 19, 2013.

2) Submit a 200-day calendar for each school within the district/charter holder, which includes a 10 per cent increase in annual instructional hours.

3) Budget for a five per cent increase in base level support.

4) Submit the “Optional 200 Day Instructional Calendar Compliance Form“.

These items must be completed and submitted to your Account Analyst,  and approved by ADE School Finance no later than June 30, 2013 in order to obtain the 5% base level increase for FY 2014.
