Under A.R.S § (15-2401 (1)(a)(viii)) “a child who is a ward of the juvenile court and who is residing with a prospective permanent placement pursuant to section 8-862 and the case plan is adoption or permanent guardianship”, and has been in a public school for the first 100 days prior to applying or is receiving a qualifying STO may apply for the Empowerment Scholarship.
The application process will begin January 1 through May 1. Please submit your application along with any court documentation showing the child is residing with a prospective permanent placement to be considered for the upcoming school year. “ The May 1st deadline is 3pm. ESA Staff will not accept any late application or documents past the deadline date and time. The scholarship will ONLY be offered one time through out the school year.
